BIG EV - GREEN CORRIDOR O´HIGGINS

Español

The O'Higgins Green Corridor is a trailblazing initiative aimed at making the O'Higgins Region a model for sustainable tourism and environmental conservation in Chile. Driven by a collaboration among Big Magazine, Copec Voltex, Porsche, the Ministry of Energy, and the O'Higgins Regional Government, this strategy seeks to harmonize the region's precious natural and cultural legacy with green mobility practices and sustainable development.

Highlighted by The New York Times as one of the top ten destinations not to miss in its '52 Places to Visit in 2024', the O'Higgins Region is celebrated for its deep cultural tradition and exquisite gastronomy, underscored by its world-class wines and exceptional seafood offerings. From peaceful retreats to thrilling surfing adventures by the sea, and immersive explorations of wine culture, this project promises a diverse and fulfilling journey through one of Chile's most cherished corners.

At the heart of the O'Higgins Green Corridor is the installation of a network of 10 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, strategically located at selected hotels. From the vineyards of the Colchagua Valley and the coasts of Pichilemu and Matanzas to the foothills of the Andes, this green corridor ensures sustainable access to O'Higgins' treasures, encouraging the use of electric vehicles among both residents and visitors.
